• Best Chicken Sandwich in DFW

  Chick-fil-a, Angry Dog, Buffalo Wild Wings, and all the holy of holies that boast to have the best chicken sandwich in DFW are about to be plucked, clawed, and pecked out of the chicken coop.  Chicken Nest is a feisty poultry contender on the block and, after, sinking my teeth into its juicy, tender filet, I have to agree. 

  No ketchup or mayo is necessary (At Chick-fil-a, in my case, I have to add cold-slaw to moisten it).  The pecan chicken sandwich is twice as large as any chicken I have ever consumed and is lightly coated with a char colored, nutty seasoning.

  The fries are crinkled, thick, and crisp.  I am looking forward to trying the other options, like the roasted chicken, chicken noodle soup, and teriyaki grilled chicken.  I took home a slice of the key lime pie, which was homemade and delicious.  The only non-chicken theme is the bubble tea, which is not chicken flavored, but I have a feeling that is in the works too.

  Another facet of Chicken Nest is the service.  As I ate, they greeted customers by their first names and the smiles on the staff's faces exuded the joy they have in their cooking.

  If all restaurants operated with the passion and quality mind-set that the Chicken Nest staff/owners put on display when I visited this Shangri-la of chicken cuisine, then the city of Dallas/Plano would be the apex destination for foodies.

  Awesome chicken sandwhich that blows any other chicken sandwhich I have had out of the water.

  The food was ALL great and the prices are better than fast food prices in a lot of cases (chick fil a). The service is phenomenal and the atmosphere is unique. I fell in love with the owners and the place as a whole. Will be going back for lunch quite often!

   It's basically owned by a Chinese couple who makes fried chicken sandwiches. It was yummy and ooh, loved how they put red onion inside the sandwich :) If I'm near my husband's work I'll be back for sure and get something different like their combo platter.

  It is a fun whole in the wall place to go. It's fast food, but with fresh ingredients. I actually saw them bread a fresh chicken breast and then cook it after I ordered it. The bubble tea I tried was too sweet. Next time I'm just going to stick with the chicken sandwiches!
